The Feeling That Autumn Brings

Autumn is a time for artistry and awe, the structural details of a landscape coming alive in its dying, a bittersweet mixture of melancholy and fulfillment. It is the time that those endless shades of green shift softly into a palette of warm colors.

Autumn has a peculiar personality of its own, which is powerfully attractive. It is a time to get out and enjoy the last rays of the sun, which can warm your skin, to hear the crisp sound of dried leaves under the feet, to go for a walk on a foggy morning, the smoke of the wood fire that drifts to your nostrils.

It is sitting on the porch, in the garden, or walking in the woods: I can feel the calmness of autumn. Watching the leaves fall off the trees can have the same effect as watching the waves of the sea during summer: it can clear your mind and bring quiet contentment. Gather with friends around the bonfire or curl up on the porch with a book.  Autumn breathes life into nature.

The style of leaves descending, looking like fairies sleepily from tress in the early morning sun. That golden autumn glow at dawn and the auburn glow at sunset.  To hear the sound of trees rustling in the wind and feel its soothing magic on your skin.

Feel the sensation of jumping into a fresh pile of leaves, hearing the crunchiness of happiness. The cozy fragrance of candles and decorative gourds, walking down an enchanted path carpeted in crimson foliole. Autumn brings a masterpiece into life.

Feel the coziness inside while observing a rainy autumn afternoon from the window as you see the birds’ bathe in their nest of nature. Feel grateful for a new beginning, a new season to start fresh.  Autumn is a pleasant inner feeling of slowness and gratitude. Appreciating life and nature: to sit quietly with your breath.

That is the feeling that autumn brings.
